vManager 6.3 Delivers Exciting New Tools and Security to Enrich Customer Experience

May 10, 2016

SAN RAMON, CA – (Marketwired – May 10, 2016) – vCom Solutions, the leader in technology lifecycle management has announced the release of the latest software update, vManager 6.3. vManager is the industry’s leading cloud-based, technology lifecycle management software with an ongoing annual customer satisfaction rate of 98% for 6 years and counting. vManager offers a comprehensive customer experience with complete visibility and management of customers’ technology spend and inventory.

The new release provides exciting enhancements within vManager to security functionality.  The updates include the implementation of expanded credentials within password rules. This allows for customer administrator users to have the ability to customize security to their business needs. Administrators are now able to customize and update password rules for their company’s user base and also share those rules when the end users set up a password for the first time. Adam Shawley, vCom’s Chief Information Officer, noted, We’re always striving to meet our customers’ unique requirements for security and policies. These new enhancements give administrators more flexibility and control.” By streamlining security requirements within the system vManager is providing a customized, unified solution for user security.

User navigation throughout vManager has improved by the relabeling of menu items in the toolbar. For example, the wireline menu now includes collaboration information as well.  In the mobility toolbar, there are direct links to orders, tickets and inventory. Also, carrier information has moved to the submenu of the tools section. Within payment notifications, there is now the addition of payment notification alerts. This allows an administrator to set alerts to a specific amount of days prior to an invoice due date, to avoid late fees.

vCom University has expanded in 6.3 with the latest addition of the “tools and alerts” menu. The vCom University module engages and educates customers to gain the utmost return on their technology investment through a comprehensive knowledge base and resource library of training documents, video tutorials, and vManager certification programs. This module provides reference guides, company operation info and a FAQ for common billing, service and operation inquiries.
