vManager 16 Welcomes a New Era in Efficiency

Get ready to embrace the advancements in vCom’s vManager 16! This latest release of our award-winning platform isn’t just an update—it’s a new chapter in efficiency and effectiveness.

Improving efficiency translates to smoother operations, AI-driven support, reduced resolution time, and unparalleled insight into our clients’ IT landscape. vManager 16 empowers users to accomplish tasks faster while gaining crystal-clear visibility into their vital IT operations. The new features and functionality enhance a digital environment that’s intuitive, supportive, and ready to deliver lightning-fast results!

Customer Service Experience Powered by AI

The ability for vManager users to gain intuitive and seamless access to their IT environment and the vCom team has taken center stage with vManager 16.

  • vCom’s new generative AI-powered vChat isa significant leap forward in the pursuit of intuitive and seamless access to information. Leveraging the powerful capabilities of OpenAI’s ChatGPT, vChat bridges the gap between complex data and easy-to-use language, streamlining the way users interact with information. Users can choose from suggested prompts or use intuitive and simple inquiries like “Give me the line with the highest usage,” or “What is the contract end date for X circuit” to quickly find information on their environment, in lieu of searching in Assets or Analytics.
  • Our new customer service workflow, Get Help, brings the user through a series of directive prompts that help them easily identify a particular issue in need of resolution and immediately routes the inquiry into the hands of the appropriate vCom team member. There’s no need to go outside the tool to send an email or make a phone call.

My Marketplace/vCom Marketplace

In our continuing drive to simplify the complexities of managing IT spend, we’ve split our industry-leading sourcing Marketplace into two distinct shopping areas:

  • My Marketplace enables customers to leverage their own negotiated pricing for commodities from a private, customized sourcing catalog.
  • vCom Marketplace is where you will find all other available recurring IT commodity products and services.

The results of all pricing exercises and requests can be viewed and completed in the Pricing Results menu.

Check Providers in My Building

This new functionality enables users to check which network providers can service any address or business location. By adding a new address or selecting one from dropdown menu of existing locations, vManager displays a list of service providers that are On Net (already have fiber in the building), Near Net (fiber is close by), or Off Net (the provider must leverage a third party to bring services into the building). This feature enables users to quickly identify potential providers and make better decisions around implementation timelines and/or ensure circuit diversity.

Customizable vManager Home Page

Keeping true to our commitment to put information at our customers fingertips and save them time, we’ve updated the vManager home page to deliver customizable functionality based on user need. vManager users can add, configure, and sort up to six graph/report panels on their home page view based on their preferences, creating an easy access dashboard environment with at-a-glance visual access to a dozen spend management charts including Account Activity, Spend Optimization, Spend by Category, Billing Trend, Mobile Spend by Month, Inventory by Type, Mobile Inventory by Plan, and more.

Mobile Order Management Workflow

Since many organizations require a defined process by which orders can be approved, vManager 16 now ensures adherence to the process in a streamlined manner. Customers can not only define the approval process within vManager, but can choose how they want the order workflow to run by choosing from one of three workflows: Sequential (person A has to approve, then person B has to approve…), Non Sequential (Either person A or B in no order, and only one is required to approve), and a Require All (Person A and person B have to approve in any order).
