Expands self-service options across award-winning software platform
San Ramon, CA – May 2, 2023 – vCom Solutions, a leader in delivering software and managed services for managing the lifecycle of IT spend from procure to pay, today announced the latest release of the company’s award-winning vManager software platform. Among other enhancements, release 15.1 streamlines ease of use across the platform and expands self-service capabilities within its Managed Pay product. Release 15.1 brings greater flexibility to key AP-related cost center and invoicing functionality and makes a number of existing reports more powerful than ever, enabling users to extract deeper insights to drive better decision-making.
“We’re always striving to expand how vManager can help organizations control their IT spend, from asset acquisition to invoice payment,” says Gary Storm, vCom President & CEO. “As part of vManager 15.1’s enhanced capabilities, automating the who, what, and when of invoice payment through Managed Pay is easier than ever and virtually eliminates the estimated $22 cost for processing a paper invoice. Clients can pay their own way and control it all from vManager. Across the board, this release delivers enhanced flexibility and cost-effective solutions, saving users time, reducing costs, and providing greater insight into their IT spend.”
Key enhancement within vManager 15.1 include:
Managed Pay 3.0 – Clients now have unparalleled flexibility in the way they choose to have vCom pay their invoices, including when they pay, what they pay, and the amount they pay:
- Create, customize, and apply funds requests
- View, edit, and approve all funds requests within vManager
- Dynamically change payment amounts and regenerate funds requests
- Edit payment batches to add and remove invoices to be paid
- Customize and edit batch file PDF templates
Network
- Clients with circuits enrolled in vCom’s Circuit Performance Management (CPM) service can now access visual usage charts in the inventory details for each circuit as well as through a new Data Utilization Report in vManager. Users can specify the utilization timeframe they want to view and export data for further analysis of usage trends.
Mobile
- Customers that have requested the suspension of certain mobile services can keep track of their expiration dates via a new action tile on their vManager homepage. The Expiring Suspends tile links to a view of all applicable lines. User can opt to disconnect these lines directly from the page.
Service & Support
- For simplicity and to ease the learning curve for new users, the process of opening a trouble ticket is more intuitive. A link from the Trouble Tickets menu alerts users to select the specific asset record before navigating to the inventory item so the ticket can be opened.
Reporting
- The Mobile Inventory Details Report is a single view of which devices in a client’s mobile inventory are eligible for upgrades alongside the eligibility date.
- IMEI and ICCID unique identifier codes for mobile devices have been added to the True Cost Summary report.
Accounting
- New Cost Center Bulk Upload functionality utilizes sophisticated logic to enable users to replace existing cost centers rather than manually deleting and recreating cost centers. Cost centers can also be deleted as required.
- AP users can now download PDF copies of invoices in bulk (versus one at a time) to import them into their financial software tool.
