vCom’s Disaster Response: Join Us in Hurricane Harvey Relief
A tropical cyclone that hit the state of Texas has caused massive destruction. Hurricane Harvey made landfall around 9:45pm on Friday Aug 25th as Category 4 hurricane with winds of 130 miles per hour, making it the strongest hurricane to hit the U.S. in more than a decade.
Harvey brought devastating amounts of rain to an area that includes some of Texas’ most populous cities. It stretched along the state’s Gulf Coast from Corpus Christi to Houston, and inland to Austin and San Antonio. At least 60 people have been killed. Houston, the fourth-largest city in the United States, has been inundated. Unlike many other cities in the hurricane’s path, Houston did not order evacuations before the storm, and countless residents were trapped in flooding homes, with thousands requiring harrowing rescue by heroic first responders.
vCom would like to ask if you would like to partner with us in collecting funds to support the many victims of this devastating hurricane. Many of have lost their homes and it will take a long time for things to get back to normal. Please join us in collecting as many funds as possible, so we can support the victims of this disaster together. vCom has pledged to match all employee donations.
Let’s continue to grow vCom’s culture of giving back to our communities.
