vCom Solutions Celebrates 20-Year Anniversary

Recognizes two decades of leadership in the IT Spend Management space.

SAN RAMON, Calif., September 7, 2021 (Newswire.com) – vCom Solutions has reached an exciting milestone as the company celebrates 20 years delivering innovative IT spend management software and managed services to businesses across the U.S. Through vCom’s award-winning vManager software, businesses in every sector over the last two decades have improved their ability to gain deeper insight into their IT spend and streamline the day-to-day management of their IT operations.

Founded in September 2001, vCom has focused on helping organizations decrease the cost of their IT infrastructure while providing in-depth visibility into their spend. In 2004, vCom acquired QuantumShift and expanded its offerings from coast to coast. Despite coming of age following 9/11 and the financial crisis of 2008, vCom continued to deliver value for a growing slate of clients. In 2005, vCom was named the Fastest-Growing company in the Bay Area and has been recognized as one of the area’s Best Places to Work every year since 2008.

The company is still led by the original founding executives Gary Storm, Sameer Hilal, and Joe Condy, and has maintained its privately-owned status throughout its history. This has enabled vCom to control the strategic and business decisions required to ensure a consistent focus on the needs of the mid-market.

The company’s suite of products and service offerings has expanded over the last two decades in response to evolving business and technology needs and now includes four divisions: Software, Managed Services, Buyers’ Club, and vCom Capital. In 2007, vCom launched its signature cloud-based software platform vManager, which today is utilized by hundreds of clients to manage the entire lifecycle of their IT spend and gain centralized visibility into Network, Mobile, Cloud, SaaS, Collaboration, and Hardware assets, from design, sourcing, and contract management; through orders, asset tracking and service; culminating with invoice, accounting, and analytics management. vCom’s managed services division is built on a team of subject matter experts and partners who design, service, and support client IT projects and assets so they meet business needs and are fully cost-optimized. Buyers’ Club leverages aggregated buying power to guarantee best pricing, terms, and conditions, and provide customers a unique lifecycle management experience centered around aggregation, consolidation, and normalization. Lastly, vCom Capital aids clients in moving their IT assets from capital expenditures to operational expenses.

Gary Storm, vCom president and CEO, reflected on the company’s 20th anniversary saying, “The founding of vCom and the growth we’ve achieved over the last 20 years has been a focal point of my life. There have been exciting times and more than a few challenges. But through it all, since day one, our core mission hasn’t changed: to become the premier IT spend management partner for the mid-market by combining the power of our software, our services, and our Buyers’ Club capabilities. Technology has evolved at breakneck speed over that time, but that guiding principle has stood firm and enabled vCom to help our clients save millions of dollars while gaining unprecedented visibility into their IT spend.”

“It’s been gratifying to be part of an organization that values its employees and customers above all else,” says co-founder and COO Sameer Hilal. “I am proud that we have been able to leverage our suite of tools and our outstanding teams to deliver for our customers, many of whom have been with us for a large part of our 20-year journey, and continue to benefit from the information, time, and shareholder values we provide.”
